This further more raises the fact that the shoe game is fucked up. With resellers on an epidemic with the ideology of so-called “hustlenomics”, they aren’t thinking that their high resale prices do say something about the retail price increases in the recent years. Nike want’s that extra money too so they stated that they rose retail prices to ensure better quality but that’s bullshit since they be seeing how much resellers get paid and being jealous about it, they want their share of the profit cake too.
With the privileged youth, I be seeing younger folks with the shoes I was never able to have during the time I was once that age. The youth are being sucked into consumerism tactics early, and I am not sure what a solution can be since the media blows up everything. From celebrities to the news every christmas about dysfunctional shoe-line ups, Jordans are everywhere now.
The shoe game is dangerous too, you never know if you will ever get robbed over your shoes, or jumped over your shoes. The line-ups are dangerous too, especially if people come strapped or whatever.
It’s crazy how it’s difficult to obtain regular retros these days too, but money rules everything. This continuing pattern of jordans being sold out to resellers to earn more money will continue. It’s hard to be a regular collector these days. I am not blaming the youth, but with the youth and resellers both obtaining jordans, it will leave collectors in the dust. I, myself, am a collector.
